Thereā€™s no need to calculate whether I would be throwing away my vote on the candidate that I most agree with if theyā€™re not from a major party. I can say, I want that independent person to get in, but if not them, give me Big Party A, and if not them, that minor party person is still better that Big Party B, and Iā€™m not giving any preference to the Lunatic Fringe Party. 
Our system certainly has some issues still, but I can show up to somewhere nearby, line up for a few minutes (if at all), vote exactly in line with my values (on paper, leaving a paper trail that can be recounted), and then buy a sausage and some home made cupcakes on my way out. 
A countryā€™s voting system matters a hell of a lot and every citizen deserves one that makes it easy to vote and results in a government that is representational and accountable. 
And by the way, one time I had a bad asthma flare-up on Election Day and didnā€™t make it to my polling station. I got my fine in the mail, I filled out the form explaining why I couldnā€™t vote, no more fine. I would rather have, you know, expressed my preference for who should run my country, but they were cool with the fact that I couldnā€™t do it that day.

Because it forces people to participate in deciding how their country is run, which is a good thing. It also forces the government to hear your opinion, which is a good thing.  UK. Sudafed like candy. But at night and at parties he switched to
 cocaine and high-end Methamphetamine that was hand-delivered
 by Bikers. The point is he was always high. That hasn't changed.

Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed awayā€¦ An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the catā€™s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]

For those who havenā€™t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god.  Sheā€™s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.

yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ā€second tamaā€ or ā€œtama IIā€) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy
she works very hard

Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016).Ā  There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.

okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because itā€™s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back


ā€œSun-tama-tamaā€ (a pun off of ā€œSantamaā€, lit. ā€œthird Tamaā€) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tamaā€™s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, ā€œI will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.ā€ [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tamaā€™s Twitter account.
